Neil Barton

Neil is a founding Director of Origin Safety. He has worked in Safety and Reliability ever since graduating from the University of Manchester in 2001. He began working as an ILS Engineer for Goodrich (2001-2005) before branching out into Nuclear Safety (2005-2008) prior to working for a medium-sized safety consultancy (2008-2014). In 2014 Neil set up his own consultancy (Aurora Safety), before setting up Origin Safety with Stuart in 2018.

Neil is a TÜV-certified Functional Safety Engineer with an MSc (Distinction) in Safety Critical Systems Engineering (University of York, 2013). Outside of safety, Neil is a keen athlete. He has competed for the Great Britain Masters Team and has won medals at British, European and World Masters Championships in long jump.
